Jacs Aberdare presents: Contrasts Contrasts are an alternative metal band formed in 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. The band combines hard hitting, low tuned riffs with ambient electronics and soaring vocal melodies. Contrasts released their debut EP 'False Idol', recorded at Long Wave Studios (Bring Me The Horizon, Holding Absence, Nova Twins) on January 30th 2026 to overwhelmingly positive reception. Driven by a refreshed lineup, False Idol showcases a more focused, technical sound for the band. Collapse the Void Collapse The Void is a five-piece metalcore band from Newport, South Wales, UK known for delivering heavy, energetic, riff-driven modern metalcore that blends both traditional and contemporary influences from the genre. They draw inspiration from metalcore acts such as Bury Tomorrow, August Burns Red, Parkway Drive, and Currents, channeling that influence into aggressive breakdowns and powerful live performances that resonate with fans of the UK scene. They’ve been active since around 2021, carving out a reputation for hard-hitting shows and music rooted in both melodic and heavy tendencies within metalcore. Inscape A unique blend of punchy electronics, upbeat melodies and hard hitting riffs makes up Inscape’s visceral yet meticulous sound. Audiences can expect a set of high energy and intensity ranging from breakbeats to breakdowns. As a proud product of the Swansea music scene and previous winners of The Bunkhouse Battle of the Bands, they earned a place on the lineup for the launch of The Swansea Arena. With the release of their new EP, they hope to bring their brand of post-apocalyptic, indie-infused electronic alt-rock to new audiences. Nothing Minor Nothing Minor are a female-led 4-piece emotive alt-metal/rock band blending crushing riffs with melodic hooks, driven by a message of positive mental health.
